SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Braking System Installation - 2015 Ford C-Max- Video
Today on our 2015 Ford C-Max, we're going to be installing the SMI Stay-IN-Play Duo Supplemental Braking System, part number SM99251. This what it will look like when your system is operational. It's going to pull down the brake and slow down your car. As you can see, when it is activated your LEDs come on. Once it goes off, they go off. Now, we'll open the compartment and you can see the operating unit. more

SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Braking System Installation - 2014 Ford C-Max- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford C-Max, we'll be installing the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System, part number SM99251. First thing to note with this application, the SMI operating unit doesn't actually need the vacuum assist, so we're just going to go ahead and take a pair of side cutters, or tin snips, and cut our vacuum hose short. Next thing to note is the lack of clearance for mounting our Stay-IN-Play box here in the engine compartment. We're going to take our Stay-IN-Play operating unit and mount it in the back seat, underneath the driver's seat, to an access panel. With my seat moved all the way up and we remove the floor mat, we can easily see the access panel. The access panel allows for access to the charging cord for the C-Max vehicle. Special note, when mounting the box, make sure you leave enough wire and airline that you can actually remove the panel when necessary. more

Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit Installation - 2014 Ford C-Max- Video
Today on this 2014 Ford C-max, we're going to install part number RN-751459 from Road Master. This is Road Master stoplight switch kit. To start off, we'll go ahead and work with our bracket that comes with the kit and your actual stoplight switch. What we're going to do is install the two together for now loosely. Then I'm going to run this about three threads past the edge of the nut. We'll tighten this one down. more

Blue Ox Patriot Proportional Braking System Installation - 2013 Ford C-Max- Video
All right today on this 2013 Ford C-Max, were going to install part number BRK2012 from Blue Ox. This is the Blue Ox Patriot radio frequency portable breaking system. First thing were going to do is find a location to run our breakaway switch wire from the inside to the outside. Were going to pull back the carpet on the inside of the vehicle behind the pedals and were going to locate a spot just below the grommet inaudible 00:00:27 steering column. Its going to be about one inch below and off to the left hand side of center. All right, well go ahead and drill out inaudible 00:00:35 first and then well go ahead and enlarge our drill bit size up to 11/16. more
